Meet The Authors

This modern scientific account is written by Dr Peter Holyland, a Geologist with over fifty years’ experience exploring Earth’s continents for dozens of mineral deposit-types including those formed in the earliest times to those still forming today. The alternate chapters are written by Aili Holyland, Peter’s wife, bringing the characters and tales of scientific adventure to life.

Dr Peter Holyland received his PhD from the University of Queensland and a BA (Hons) from Trinity College Dublin, Eire. He was an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia.

He was CEO of Terra Sancta Research, providing Stress Mapping Technology to more than 200 Exploration Companies worldwide; and CEO of the Georeality Group – an award winning technology company pioneering digital information to governments throughout Australia and companies worldwide.

Co-author Aili Holyland is a Teacher, who in addition to devoting her time to raising the couple’s children, has successfully launched and managed multiple fundraising and volunteer groups, benefitting the broader community.
